Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Osusu MoneyFlow ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Osusu MoneyFlow provides software tools to help groups of people coordinate rotating savings circles — also known as Osusu, Susu, Chama, Tanda, Hui, Chit Fund, and similar traditions practised worldwide.

The Platform allows users to:

• Create and manage savings circle groups
• Track who has contributed and who has received payouts
• Record member-confirmed payment activity
• Send coordination reminders and notifications

The Platform does not:

• Hold, receive, store, or transmit money
• Facilitate, execute, or guarantee any financial transaction
• Provide financial advice or recommendations
• Act as an escrow, custodian, or trustee of funds

By using the Platform, you agree that:

• You are responsible for all payments you make or receive. These occur entirely outside the Platform between you and other group members.
• You will only mark a contribution as "sent" after you have genuinely made the payment to the recipient through an external method.
• You will only confirm receipt of a payment after you have actually received it.
• You will provide accurate information when creating your account and managing your group activity.
• You are solely responsible for vetting the trustworthiness of the people you invite to or join in a savings circle. Osusu MoneyFlow does not verify the identity or financial standing of any user.
• You will comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including any laws relating to informal savings groups.

Osusu MoneyFlow is a record-keeping tool. We are not a party to any financial transaction between users and have no ability to reverse, freeze, or recover funds.

If a dispute arises between members of a savings circle — including non-payment, fraud, or disagreement over contributions — you agree that:

• Osusu MoneyFlow is not responsible for resolving the dispute.
• Osusu MoneyFlow has no liability for any financial loss you suffer as a result of participating in a savings circle coordinated through the Platform.
• Disputes must be resolved directly between the affected members, and if necessary through appropriate legal channels.

The Platform provides a "Raise Dispute" feature to create a visible record within the group. This is a transparency tool only and does not constitute mediation, arbitration, or legal process.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Osusu MoneyFlow, its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for any financial loss, including loss arising from non-payment by group members, fraud by other users, errors in contribution tracking, or platform downtime.
• The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be zero, as the Platform has a free tier).

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Platform.

You may not use the Platform to:

• Defraud other users or misrepresent payment activity
• Create groups with the intent to collect contributions without intending to pay recipients
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other users' accounts

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Osusu MoneyFlow offers a free tier and optional paid plans. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these Terms.

Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

All content, design, and software on the Platform is owned by or licensed to Osusu MoneyFlow. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any data you input into the Platform (such as group names and contribution notes). By using the Platform, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that data solely to provide the service to you.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
